A Long Island man has been accused of robbing a bank across the street from his house, police said.
The 34-year-old man was arrested Monday for robbing the TD Bank on Long Beach Road near Foxhurst Road in Oceanside on Friday, Feb. 19 at about 3:11 p.m., police said. The suspect lives on Foxhurst Road across the street from the bank.
The man approached a teller and slipped him a note demanding money, authorities said. No one was injured in the robbery.
He then fled and remained at large until he was arrested Monday.
He was charged with robbery and is awaiting arraignment in First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
