The Kaliver Rebbe Shlita, 93, fell in his home last week. Unfortunately, despite looking for assistance, there was no one there to assist the rebbe, as his gabboim were not home at the time.
At some point, one of his gabbaim, Reb Binyomin Kirschenbaum returned and together with another family member who arrived,helped the rebbe up.
The rebbe refused to go to a hospital to be checked, despite the pain.
The Rebbe has not come to minyan or tischen since the incident.
During the last 60 years, since World War II, the rebbe has traveled to millions of Jews with his story and the saying of Shema Yisrael. He is active in kiruv rechokim and delivers regularshiurim and shmuessen to groups of professionals, including doctors and police officers. In addition, he has directed a network of kollelim, an encyclopedia project, and several other undertakings of chassidus Kaliv.
